Final Fight for Victory

As the F1 Academy season draws to a close, there’s still two rounds remaining and a maximum of 112 points up for grabs. With Pulling’s dominant streak in the series, it’s only Doriane Pin who could rival her for the winning trophy.

With a successful season under her belt, returnee Abbi Pulling leads us into the final four races with a 95 point lead. Her continuous streak of podiums, ranging from seven wins to her singular third-place, Pulling’s chances at the top are looking more and more likely by the day. The Rodin driver could clinch the title during the first race in Qatar this weekend if she successfully wins the race ahead of Pin, bringing the gap to 102 if the French driver finishes in second. With only 84 points left, Pulling would be crowned champion.

This doesn’t mean that the season is over for Pin. With 28 points up for grabs between qualifying, winning and the fastest lap, a clean sweep in race one would land Doriane Pin on 178 points. If Pulling then takes 3rd, the battle would go down to race two with a gap of 85 points.

With a prize of a fully-funded 2025 seat in GB3 with Rodin and 20 days of testing prior to the season, the title charge is more important than ever. Pirelli, as a part of the Pirelli Prize, will also provide a financial contribution towards the seat. GB3 awards their champion with a two-day test in FIA Formula 3 alongside the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup which awards the drivers with £250 and a trophy for every pole position they receive, with the individual who takes the most receiving an additional trophy and £2,000.

With 245 points, Pullings championship potential is growing increasingly closer but, could Doriane Pin take the 2024 season down to the final line?
